That being said,
hard cases are the preferred equipment container of airlines. Moreover, airlines do not accept responsibility for damage to equipment that is not protected by a hard case. This means you are responsible for making sure your equipment is protected to arrive safely at its destination -- the protection that only a hard case can provide. The disclaimers below are typical of most airlines:
Northwest (Airlines) recommends hard-shell cases when checking your ski equipment.
AA/American Eagle/AmericanConnection® carrier are not liable for any damage to sports items not presented in a hard-sided case.

As Transportation Security Administration (TSA) policy prohibits the locking of checked baggage, we have included a secondary catch on the latches of the Stikk Boxx. This means the container will not accidentally open while out of your site.
If your cargo requires extra security, we have also provided holes for a locking device. If you have any questions about TSA approved locking devices or current TSA policies, please visit their website at www.TSA.gov. |
