Yes, with a quick adjustment to the way the robes are hung. Just tuck the hemmed end of the robe up inside the body of the robe, attaching the hemmed end to the crosspiece of the hanger with pins, and you have a robe that is ready to travel.

Having stated this general disclaimer, the practical side of things is that the Bigg Boxx travels on airlines all the time (as seen in this photo) with no additional charges. As long as your airline reservations were made through a group travel desk and they are aware of your needs in advance, airlines try to accommodate you whenever they can. However, please note: just like with your tuba or sousaphone cases, you must make arrangements for oversized items to be dropped off prior to your arrival at the airport because this type of oversized luggage will almost always be delivered to a different location. So be sure to plan ahead, and again, check with your airline with any specific questions prior to purchase.

Latches securely fasten the lid of the Bigg Boxx closed; however, a method to "lock" the Bigg Boxx was not included in our design because the container will typically be stored in a secure location (i.e. locked storage room or equipment truck). A few of our customers who have needed to "lock" their Bigg Boxx have easily done so by permanently attaching a gate latch available at any home improvement store.

Yes. A metal hanger guard is permanently attached to the lid of the Bigg Boxx to secure and unsecure the hangers automatically with the closing and opening of the lid.
